Previously known as Police Financial Services, Ltd. or “Police Credit” is a member owned bank in Australia founded by police officers in 1974 as a credit union. With the re branding our company developed the look and feel of their retail outlets. Bank Vic wanted to set up a small separate retail bank division for it’s members which was situated on the Ground Floor of 278 Spencer Street, Melbourne. The site was originally selected by Bank Vic and is conveniently located near Southern Cross station for the convenience to it’s members. The concept was to have more of an open contemporary casual inviting fit out with a cafe concierge feel rather than a traditional bank one. A direction most banking sectors are heading towards. The company’s colour palette was used to create focal points and assist with navigation around the bank.
The core idea of the floor plan is to provide a direction and a place to be greeted. Members have access to Customer Service Counters, Tellers, Computer Stations, Ipad Stations for information. This was all incorporated within our design.
