BSI is the business standards company that equips businesses with the necessary solutions to turn standards of best practice into habits of excellence.
BSI requested Concept Office Interiors fit out their new St Kilda Road office by developing the administration and training facilities for the Melbourne market.
The office configuration did not require a reception area, as clients participate in group training in their specifically designed training facilities. In place of a reception area, a reception zone was formed encompassing casual seating with occasional chairs and coffee tables along with high stools and tables. The emphasis in the zone is on their graphics, branding and their information interface (large screen video presentations and promotional documents). A courtesy refreshment station was incorporated as part of this area with tea and coffee facilities, and other refreshments.
These facilities allowed clients to mingle before heading to the training rooms which consist of two large rooms divided by an operable wall to enable larger training spaces when required. Audio and video facilities are incorporated in these areas, as are modular tables which can be configured in various formats. The remainder of the office allows for the administration of the trainers and general office staff. There is a separate breakout area and work stations in an adjoining section with an additional office and meeting room for in-house requirements. The emphasis on their colours and corporate branding is continued throughout.
The project’s completion within the expected time frame successfully met the requirements of the client.
