Randstad is a leading global HR and Recruitment company. We were engaged to fit out their new Mulgrave office. Randstad wanted to approach their new office fit out which is not your standard office format. The Reception and Waiting Area is quite expansive with a long reception desk and two zones for different Waiting Area seating.
The first Waiting Area closest to Reception is a choice of a block bold banquette joinery seating and an arrangement of loose furniture. The second Waiting Area zone nearest to the Boardroom comprises of three separate swivel chairs. Both Waiting Areas are accompanied by a defined mix of hexagonal and trapezoid carpet tile design to designate the two areas. A branding feature wall is a central focus in the second Waiting Area zone. Throughout the Front of House oak timber look vinyl has warm tones to balance the block and colour. Feature drum pendants are strategically placed above coffee tables to complete the aesthetic.
The front of house also caters for different Interview Rooms, Meeting Rooms and Exercise Test Rooms for candidates and their potential employers. A formal Boardroom just off Reception/Waiting has both easy access for front of house for visitors and back of house for staff. All finishes and furniture in these rooms are neutral tones.
Back of house Open Plan workstations are fixed white straight workbenches with fresh green screens in standard heights. Planter boxes with adequate storage are found along the corridor. The Lounge/Informal Meeting area has modular loose furniture in bold bright colours to break up the predominate white palette. Staff are provided with lockers for personal items and beside Utilities are convenient and central.
The main highlight of the back of house area is the Kitchen/Breakout/Hot Desk/Informal Meeting. Kitchen joinery is a combination of warm sublime teak and white with oak timber look vinyl flooring to warm the space and a contrast from the base building carpet. Again zoning the Informal Meeting area next to the Kitchen is the defined mix of hexagonal and trapezoid carpet tile design to designate this area. Loose furniture is an eclectic mix of alternating colour with warm timber leg details. Feature drum pendants similar to the Waiting Area carry through above table settings in the Breakout and Informal Meeting to give it that final touch.
